New Delhi: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to arrive in India on Monday for discussions with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, focusing on the ongoing border issues, as confirmed by reliable sources.
This visit comes just days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's anticipated journey to Tianjin, China, where he will participate in the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
Wang's primary objective for this trip is to engage in the next session of the Special Representatives (SR) dialogue concerning the boundary dispute, according to sources on Wednesday.
Both Wang and Doval serve as the appointed SRs responsible for addressing the boundary matters.
Doval previously visited China in December, where he conducted SR discussions with Wang, following an agreement between Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping to reinstate various dialogue frameworks during their meeting in Kazan, Russia.
